Landscape Gardeners in Kent

A sandstone patio laid in Challock, near Ashford, Kent in the Spring of 2020. Works included breaking a 35 year old abandoned pond, that was upto 6 ft deep, with heavy duty reinforced concrete sides approaching sixteen inches thick! Most of the concrete was recycled back into sub bed layers, with many compaction waves. Border edging completed using vertical oak sleepers followed by the laying of an Indian sandstone patio, path, steps and wall copping.

Our objective was to reclaim a wasted area of the garden, in doing so creating a comfortable patio with good access and agreeable levels.

All pond creatures found in the vegetation, under broken parts of the liner and throughout the extensive bio tanks were safely relocated to a separate boggy area of the garden. This in itself took a long time, such was the diversity and volume discovered.
