A polished sandstone patio laid in Saltwood, near Hythe, Kent (Spring / Summer 2018) by Rob McGee & Son. Works involved 18 tonnes of sub soil removal, 44 tonnes of aggregate brought in (through the house!) and 11 tonnes of various materials from sand stone paving and setts to oak, artificial grass and plants... |
The objective was to level the garden, create comfortable access paths and a decent sized back patio with some soil retaining oak sleepers to double up as a bench and replace the original poor draining lawn with low maintenance artificial grass, all locked in with sandstone cobbles.
